At Fiona Calder Designs we're committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and what choices you have. It relates to all our business activities, not just this website.

We obtain information about you when you enquire about our services.

We obtain information about you when you make a purchase.

We obtain information about you when you subscribe to our mailing list.

Un-identified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a Visitor or un-identified User, which may be made available to us, or collected automatically via his/her use of the Services (“Non-personal Information”). Such Non-personal Information does not enable us to identify the Visitor or User from whom it was collected. The Non-personal Information collected by us mainly consists of technical and aggregated usage information, such as Visitors’ and Users’ browsing and ‘click-stream’ activity on the Services, session heatmaps and scrolls, non-identifying information regarding the Visitor’s or User’s device, operating system, internet browser, screen resolution, language and keyboard settings, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, etc.

Individually identifiable information, namely information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable efforts cause the identification of an individual, or may be of private or sensitive nature (“Personal Information”). The Personal Information collected by us mainly consists of contact details (e.g., e-mail address or phone number), billing details (name, physical billing address, payment method and transaction details), details regarding a browsing or usage session (IP address, Geo-location and/or device unique identifier), and any other Personal Information provided to us by Visitors and/or Users through their access to and/or use of the Services. For the avoidance of doubt, any Non-personal Information that is connected or linked to Personal Information (for example, in order to improve the Services we offer) is deemed and treated by us as Personal Information, as long as such connection or linkage exists.

Personal Information Collection and Use

When you conduct a transaction on Fiona Calder Designs’ website, (such as sending a message through the contact form, subscribing to our newsletter or purchasing a product), as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated below only.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:


1. To provide and operate the Services
2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support
3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages
4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we may use to provide and improve our services

How site visitors' personal information is stored, used, shared and disclosed

Fiona Calder Designs is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Wix may collect, store and process certain Non-personal and Personal Information from Fiona Calder Designs’ website visitors, solely on our behalf and at our direction. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Third Parties

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use a number of third party services to help us provide the services we offer, as outlined below. We have verified that these third party services are GDPR compliant, and are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework where these organisations are based outside of the EU.

Service: Selling and producing products to be printed with Fiona Calder's artwork upon ordering. (Including all products within the 'Fiona Calder Designs' store page on the 'Contrado' website).

Purpose: Required to fulfil our obligations to you when you purchase a product. Details required include: name, address, email address, phone number, payment details.

Data Retention: Please see Contrado's privacy policy & cookie policy for details on how they use and store your data.

Service: Selling and producing products to be printed with Fiona Calder's artwork upon ordering. (Including all products within the 'Fiona Calder Designs' store page on the 'Redbubble' website). 

Provider: Redbubble

Legal ground: Contract

Purpose: Required to fulfil our obligations to you when you purchase a product. Details required include: name, address, email address, phone number, payment details.

Data Retention: Please see Redbubble's privacy policy & cookie policy for details on how they use and store your data.

Service: Email
Provider: Google Mail
Legal Ground: Contract
Purpose: To allow ongoing contact with potential and existing clients, customers and suppliers.
Data Retention: Until request for deletion.

Service: Mailing List
Provider: Wix
Legal Ground: Consent / Legitimate interest
Purpose: To provide you with the promotional emails you asked to receive when you joined our mailing list / to provide you with the promotional emails you may be interested in due to purchasing a product from our store.
Data Retention: Until you unsubscribe by clicking the link at the bottom of any email from us, or request deletion.

Service: Payment Processing
Provider: PayPal and Stripe
Legal Ground: Contract
Purpose: Required to fulfill our obligations to you when you purchase a product. Details required include: name, address, email address, phone number, payment details.
Data Retention: Indefinitely, for ongoing accounting and record-keeping.

Service: Facebook Tracking Pixel

Provider: Facebook

Legal Ground: Legitimate interest

Purpose: To track website visitor behaviour and to observe the efficacy of Facebook advertisements.

Data Retention: Until request for deletion.

Communication with site visitors

We may contact you to notify you regarding your purchase, to answer a query, to resolve a dispute or problem, to collect fees or monies owed, to send updates about our company or products/events etc, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, or postal mail. By purchasing from us you will automatically be added to our mailing list as you have shown a legitimate interest in our business and products. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any point by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all emails sent out to you, or by letting us know in writing to studio@fionacalderdesigns.co.uk. However, this will only unsubscribe you from receiving general information. Contact may still be made regarding your account.

Transfer Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United Kingdom and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Fiona Calder Designs will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Website visitors can withdraw their consent for collection of personal information. Any personal information given in order to complete a purchase of goods will be retained, for accounting and tax records but will be used for that purpose only.
